Friday, July 20, 2001 : CNBC's Mike Hegedus came, with a crew of two, and Kate's Soap, Inc. was transformed into a makeshift TV studio. It was a lot of fun for us. Mike was comfortable to be with, and a gentle interviewer. The crew was great -- they really worked hard to help everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera. I did my best not to splash soap on the camera lens, but I did get some in the microphone...(sorry!). Mike asked me questions about developing our business, and explored the practical aspects of the work we do here. He also interviewed Autumn Blum, present of Organix South, Inc., about her company's relationship with us (we manufacture her Neem soap). They even taped as Autumn and I discussed some challenges I've been having meeting larger production needs as her company grows. I only managed to take a few photos:

Preparing the set...

Pretending to take their jobs _very_ seriously.
